This activity focusses on fine motor skills, tactile stimulation, critical and creative thinking. There is so much that you can do with this activity. Here’s how it works.
What yo will need:
- Sticky back paper (disifix)
- Different textured and coloured items. We used ribbed cardstock, pompoms, wax paper, crepe paper, felt, and foam.
Stick the sticky back paper to an upright surface (we used our sliding door), with the sticky side facing you.
We started with cardstock. Same shapes and same colours.
Then when sticking encourage sorting.
Use different textures for tactile stimulation.
After sticking different items on to the paper, encourage your little one to pull it off again. This develops and strengthens the pincer grip.
